Yes, it's finally here in San Francisco Bay Area. Located in West San Jose, SUMIYA specializes in authentic "Yakitori" skewers to satisfy the needs of those who have been waiting for the REAL one.

We have over 30 varieties of skewers including beef, pork, seafood, vegetables, and various parts of chicken grilled on "Bin-Cho-Tan", special charcoals imported from Japan. Our ingredients are carefully selected in terms of flavor, quality, cost, and freshness that exceed the standards of most Yakitori restaurants in Japan.

What is "Yakitori"?

"Yakitori" literally means "Grilled Chicken". Skewers with most of the chicken parts like Thigh, Breast Tender, Wings, Skin, Liver, Gizzard, and Heart are grilled on special Japanese Charcoals (Bin-Cho-Tan). Although there are some exceptions, generally, they are either seasoned with special homemade Yakitori sauce or with simply salt.

SUMIYA also carries other types of skewers such as Beef, Pork, Seafoods, and various vegetables including Tofu. No cooking oil is used and all the meat juices are kept inside because of very high cooking temperature, only achievable by Bin-Cho-Tan. Yakitori at SUMIYA is definitely a healthy choice for you!
